Introduction
Unlike other sources of energy, coal is
consumed in large facilities where the combustion products can be
collected, processed and then marketed to add another revenue
stream, thereby reducing the negative impact of coal combustion on
the environment: reducing CO2
emissions as well as demand for natural resources, energy
and landfill. The various coal combustion products are discussed
next.
